- Academic Hospitalist (Swing Shift), SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital
Description
SSM Health St. Marys Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a Swing Shift Hospitalist to join a collaborative inpatient medicine team within an academically affiliated environment. This role focuses on delivering high-quality inpatient care while supporting the education and development of physicians in training.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care for adult medical patients
- Admit, manage, and coordinate care in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure effective communication and safe transitions of care across services
- Work closely with and supervise Internal Medicine residents and fellows on inpatient services
- Participate in bedside teaching, case-based discussions, and clinical mentorship during daily patient care
- Contribute to resident and fellow education through supervision, feedback, and role modeling of evidence-based practice
- Support quality, safety, and patient-centered care initiatives within the hospitalist program
Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Eligible for Missouri medical licensure
- Active DEA or the ability to obtain
