About The Department of Medicine & Division of Hospital Medicine
The Department of Medicine offers a robust training environment with 20 categorical residents per year, including Primary Care Track and Distinctions Track in Care Transformation. Training occurs at Dell Seton Medical Center (a 220-bed Level 1 Trauma Center and safety net hospital) and Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin, a full-service facility with Level I Stroke and Level IV Trauma capabilities.
Our hospitalist division supervises Dell Medical School residents and medical students on inpatient teaching services and provides non-teaching and surgical co-management services at Seton Family of Hospitals/Ascension. Members of our division participate in scholarly activity, faculty development, interprofessional care teams, patient safety reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and evaluation and education of residents and medical students.

About The Academic Hospitalist Opportunity
The Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, Department of Medicine is seeking exceptional, internal medicine-trained, board-certified physicians to join our Division of Hospital Medicine as an academic hospitalist in clinical and educational programs at Seton Family of Hospitals/Ascension Texas. The position is for full-time nocturnist or evening coverage only. Candidates with experience and a preference for these types of shifts are encouraged to apply but all interested are welcome.
