MRI Technologist

Location: Brattleboro, VT
Position Type: Permanent | Direct Hire
Shift: Days | Thursday–Sunday
Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | 32 hours/week

Compensation

• Salary Median: ~$42-$52 (dependent on experience)

Position Summary

The MRI Technologist is responsible for independently performing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Working under the direction of Radiology leadership, this role requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a thorough understanding of MRI safety standards in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures independently with minimal supervision
• Apply advanced MRI techniques while maintaining patient safety protocols
• Ensure accurate positioning, imaging quality, and proper documentation
• Maintain MRI equipment and follow quality assurance and safety standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and other clinical teams
• Provide imaging services to inpatient, outpatient, and emergency patients
• Uphold compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT Registry (R) – Required
• MRI Registry (MR) – Required
• CPR Certification – Required
• Venipuncture Certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire)
• Previous MRI experience in a hospital setting – Required
• Minimum 2 recent supervisory references

Preferred Skills

• Strong understanding of MRI safety and protocols
• Ability to work independently with excellent clinical judgment
• Effective communication and patient care skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced radiology department
