Position Type: Permanent | Direct Hire
Shift: Days | Thursday–Sunday
Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | 32 hours/week
Compensation
- Salary Median: ~$42-$52 (dependent on experience)

Position Summary
The MRI Technologist is responsible for independently performing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Working under the direction of Radiology leadership, this role requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a thorough understanding of MRI safety standards in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures independently with minimal supervision
- Apply advanced MRI techniques while maintaining patient safety protocols
- Ensure accurate positioning, imaging quality, and proper documentation
- Maintain MRI equipment and follow quality assurance and safety standards
- Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and other clinical teams
- Provide imaging services to inpatient, outpatient, and emergency patients
- Uphold compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a formal AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT Registry (R) – Required
- MRI Registry (MR) – Required
- CPR Certification – Required
- Venipuncture Certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire)
- Previous MRI experience in a hospital setting – Required
- Minimum 2 recent supervisory references
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of MRI safety and protocols
- Ability to work independently with excellent clinical judgment
- Effective communication and patient care skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced radiology department
