HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN Pediatrics for a local contract nursing job in Denver, Colorado.

• Number of Beds – 36- all private rooms with parent sleeping accommodations
• Number of Staff – 60
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 1 charge (patient free), 1-3 PCTs (CNA's), occasionally a Clinical Nurse Coordinator as extra resource- typically 4 days a week
  • Night Shift - 1 charge (patient free), 1-2 PCT's, occasionally a Clinical Nurse Coordinator as resource – typically twice a week or as staffing allows.
• Patient Ratios – Mixed care- step down patients (spinal fusions, chest tubes, high flow oxygen. We do not do any CPAP, BiPAP or trach/vents in the department, they all go to PICU) are staffed 1:3 and basic care patients are staffed 1:4
• Type of equipment - Phillips Monitors
• EMR - Meditech
• Typical Procedures:
  • NGTs, Foleys, TP Tubes, PIVs, phlebotomy (we do have an accuvein in the dept)
  • Rare- but can occur occasionally- LP's.

  • Must be comfortable with high flow oxygen, spinal fusion, chest tubes

Must Haves:- An ASN degree minimum, BSN preferred- A recent 2 years of Peds RN experience in an acute hospital setting- CO RN License- BLS and PALS CertificationsPreferred or Nice to Have:- MediTech Experience- Travel Experience
