Were seeking a passionate and driven Contingent OB Hospitalist Physician to join our team in Muskegon, MI. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health of our community while working in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
Opportunity Details
- Provide in-house coverage and total management for obstetric patients, including labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies and postpartum care
- Our Birth Center features private, comfortable, home-like birthing rooms
- 24 hour shifts (7am-7am) on a rotating schedule
- Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Trinity Health Muskegon features a Level II Special Care Nursery, designed to provide specialized care for babies who need extra support. A Level III NICU in Grand Rapids is available for more complex cases
- The team includes residents and faculty involved in a specialized OB/GYN residency program
- 1 OB hospitalist on duty per shift; will work alongside experienced labor & delivery RNs, NICU APP and will have access to a social worker

Requirements
- Relevant clinical experience required
- Physicians: Shall be board certified in an appropriate area of clinical practice or is board eligible and will become board certified within five years following the Start Date (unless sooner required by the applicable medical staff bylaws)
- Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA license
- BLS certification (must be maintained)/ ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained)
Duties & Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
- Providing direct patient care
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Participating in teaching and mentoring
- Documenting in Epic EMR
- Engaging in quality improvement initiatives
- Supporting community health efforts
