Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for an Adult Surgery position requiring recent Level I Trauma operating room experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Adult Surgery department of a hospital setting
- Operates primarily as a circulating nurse for operative and other invasive procedures
- Patient population includes adult surgical patients
- Requires providing nursing care in a high acuity, Level I Trauma environment
- Schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts per week
- No floating or on-call details specified
- Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating perioperative nursing care using clinical reasoning and judgement
- Accountable for ongoing documentation and individualization of patient care based on status, age, and type of procedure
- Expected to demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- CNOR certification is preferred
- Position is not open to local candidates within a 50-mile radius
Requirements
- Active OK or multistate compact RN license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of one year recent acute operating room experience required
- At least six months of Level I Trauma experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
