Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an adaptive acuity Med/Surg Tele position with required PCU, drip, and charge experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on an adaptive acuity Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
- Travelers may be assigned to provide PCU level care with a 3:1 patient ratio
- Required to float to any inpatient unit within scope of practice
- Block scheduling is not allowed
- Must have own vehicle for transportation
- No requests for time off (RTO) will be considered
- Travelers must be able to provide non-negotiable PCU care when assigned
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Documentation must include current license and all certifications
Requirements
- Active VT or compact RN license required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications through AHA required
- Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg Tele experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Strong PCU experience required
- Drip experience required
- At least 3 months of previous travel nursing experience required
- ICU and critical access facility experience preferred
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
- Recent skills checklist pertinent to the position required
