Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics position with night shifts and EPIC charting at an acute care hospital.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute orthopedics unit within a hospital setting
- Care for patients with orthopedic medical and surgical needs
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- EMR system used is EPIC and experience is required
- May be required to float to other departments within competency
- Possible on-call requirements during scheduled shifts
- Perform independent and delegated nursing functions including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care
- Provide health teaching, counseling, and restorative therapy as appropriate to orthopedic patients
- Document care thoroughly to meet hospital and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for patient care and treatment plans
- Must be able to meet the physical and professional requirements of a hospital orthopedic unit
Requirements
- Active MT or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
- ASN from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Current AHA BLS certification required and must be valid through start date
- At least 1 year of Med/Surg Orthopedics RN experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
