Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Operating Room Circulator for an adult surgery unit, requiring an active OK or compact RN license and Level I Trauma experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in an adult surgery department in a hospital setting
- Operating Room Circulator position focused on perioperative patient care
- Day shift, five days per week with 8-hour shifts
- Assignment duration is 13 weeks
- Requires previous experience in a Level I Trauma operating room
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures
- Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of care in the perioperative environment
- Patient care is individualized based on health status, age, and type of surgery
- Effective teamwork and communication skills are essential
- No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered
- Scrubs or dress code not specified, please inquire during interview
Requirements
- Active RN license from Oklahoma or a compact state
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of one year of acute operating room RN experience
- At least six months Level I Trauma experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Excellent knowledge of professional nursing theory and AORN Standards
