The Division of Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ASOG) is seeking a Hospitalist (Clinician Educator Track) to join our growing hospital service. This faculty position reports directly to the Chief of the Division of ASOG.
The hospitalist will provide inpatient gynecology and obstetrics care at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and will play a key role in supervising and teaching residents and medical students.
- Provide inpatient gynecology and obstetrical care, including deliveries.
- Supervise the inpatient gynecology consult and transfer service.
- Manage gynecologic surgical emergencies.
- Teach, supervise, and evaluate residents and medical students.
- Oversee residency continuity clinics and assist in outpatient services.
- Collaborate with a team of 9 ASOG faculty, 3 nurse practitioners, and the broader OB/GYN faculty, including subspecialists in all areas.
Inpatient services are based at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Parkview Tower, a state-of-the-art facility built in 2018, located adjacent to the NICU at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Features include:
- 18 labor & delivery rooms
- 3 obstetric operating rooms (including one for the fetal care program)
- 18 antepartum rooms
- 36 postpartum rooms
- A gynecologic operating suite with advanced surgical technology
- An OB/GYN-designated assessment center
Outpatient services are provided on the main campus and at additional clinical sites across the Midwest.

Requirements
- MD, DO, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree.
- Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Demonstrated excellence in patient care.
- Strong commitment to resident and medical student education.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to navigate complex healthcare systems.
