FTE: Full-time, part-time, & contingent
Schedule: 8 hour and 24 hours shifts

Requirements
Current NNP Certification Required
Successful completion of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program
State of Michigan license
Minimum two years of NICU experience
BLS certification
NRP certification
Duties & Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
Providing assessment, planning, and evaluation of care for newborns under the direction of attending pediatricians
Ordering, interpreting, and documenting labs, diagnostic imaging, and treatment plans
Attending high-risk deliveries to provide resuscitation and stabilization
Independently performing neonatal transports between hospital systems
Writing orders for medications, IV therapy, nutrition, blood products, admissions, transfers, and discharges
Participating in nursing education, competency assessment, and staff consultation
Assisting with quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and unit procedures
Submitting accurate and timely billing
Engaging in ongoing professional development through education and training
Maintaining confidentiality, safety practices, and adherence to Trinity Healths Mission, Vision, and Values
The Livonia campus includes a Level I nursery averaging 1,000 deliveries annually, and the Ann Arbor campus houses a Level III NICU with about 4,500 deliveries each year.
