As Chief Medical Officer, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of care at Baptist Health Richmond a100+ licensed bed acute care located in beautiful Richmond, KY, by fostering trusted, collaborative relationships with physicians, hospital executives, and leaders across the organization. In this influential role, you will:
- Drive clinical excellence by partnering with leaders to align strategy, innovation, and operational execution.
- Champion physician engagement through collaboration, peer review, quality initiatives, and resource stewardship.
- Serve as the physician voice on the senior leadership team, guiding strategic direction and supporting organizational growth.
- Enhance community trust by serving as a visible and respected ambassador for Baptist Health Richmond.

This is a hybrid role: 80% CMO role and 20% Clinical Practice role.
Requirements
Education
- Board certified physician with current state license, preferably in Kentucky
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years as a Chief Medical Officer with both clinical and administrative staff leadership experience working within a 230+ licensed bed acute care hospital.
- Minimum of 3 years related experience in patient quality and safety
- Experience with CMS, ACHC and or Joint Commission, and other regulatory bodies.
- Experience in formulation and implementation of clinical practice guidelines and performance improvement activities.
