Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology (Angiography) Technologist with at least 1 year of vascular or interventional experience for a 13-week travel assignment in Provo, UT.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Patient population includes cases involving stroke, embolization, biopsy, and complex IR procedures
- 4x10-hour day shifts per week; specific days may vary
- On-call is required, including weekends (on-call only)
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of vascular or interventional radiology experience
- ARRT(R)(RT) with angiography experience, or ARRT(R)(VI), or vascular/interventional radiography certification required
- Active Utah State Rad Tech license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS (AHA) required; must not expire prior to assignment start
- ACLS preferred
- HS diploma or GED required
- Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required; facility can supply a temporary badge if needed, though using an existing badge from a prior employer or assignment is preferred
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient identification and preparation, producing quality diagnostic images, documentation with time stamping and image storage, supply stocking, and patient transport
- Provides procedural assistance as circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech per Angio lab policies and scope of practice
- Applies closure devices, sutures sheaths in place, or removes sheaths and applies pressure to obtain hemostasis at procedure end
- Provides patient education and ensures patient comfort throughout procedures
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at an Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
