Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment in Hawaii, requiring ARDMS certification and a minimum of 3 years of acute hospital experience across general, OB, and vascular ultrasound.
Details
- Acute care hospital imaging/ultrasound department
- Modalities include general abdominal/OB ultrasound and vascular technology
- Competency required in abdominal, GYN, OB, neonatal, superficial structures, and vascular imaging
- Procedures include aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative ultrasound
- Equipment includes Canon i700 ultrasound system and Fuji Synapse PACS
- Meditech EMR is used in this department
- Variable shift schedule with a 40-hour workweek
- On-call responsibilities required as appropriate
- Floating to other units or departments may be required
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting
- ARDMS certification required in Abdomen (AB), OB, and RVT
- Active BLS certification required (AHA-accredited)
- Proficiency in abdominal ultrasound including aorta, IVC, liver/biliary, pancreas, spleen, and renal imaging
- Proficiency in GYN ultrasound including transvaginal, adult and pediatric pelvis, and post-menopausal studies
- Proficiency in OB ultrasound including all trimesters, amniocentesis, biophysical profile, and fetal abnormality assessment
- Proficiency in vascular studies including carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, and upper/lower extremity venous and arterial duplex
- Experience with neonatal head and congenital anomaly imaging
- State license required if applicable
Additional Information
- Travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of the assignment; this appointment is scheduled at the local Employee Health office and attendance is mandatory
- Candidates should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
- Personal scrubs and professional healthcare attire required
