Description

American Traveler is hiring an IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology) with a minimum of 2 years of IR experience for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Acute care hospital interventional radiology unit with 1 procedure suite
• Common cases include tube placements, line placements, stents, drains, Y-90s, and IVIS procedures
• General body patient population; neuro IR experience not required
• Average of 7–8 cases per day
• Tech team structure includes 1 scrub tech, 1 circulating tech, and 1 control room tech per case
• Uses Philips FD 20 equipment, McKesson PACS, and Epic EMR
• 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, with a variable day off each week
• No call, no weekend, and no holiday requirements
• Rare possibility of floating to IR departments at sister facilities in Meridian and Boise

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of IR experience required
• Active BLS and ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT IR or RCIS IR certification also accepted
• License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Travel experience preferred

Additional Information

• 1 Interventional Radiologist and 1–2 PAs on site during working hours
• Charge nurse present on each shift
• Orientation consists of 3 days to 1 week of unit-specific training
• Scrubs are provided
• No blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent employees of the facility must have been separated for at least one year before being considered for a travel assignment
