Description
American Traveler is hiring an IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology) with a minimum of 2 years of IR experience for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting.
Details
- Acute care hospital interventional radiology unit with 1 procedure suite
- Common cases include tube placements, line placements, stents, drains, Y-90s, and IVIS procedures
- General body patient population; neuro IR experience not required
- Average of 7–8 cases per day
- Tech team structure includes 1 scrub tech, 1 circulating tech, and 1 control room tech per case
- Uses Philips FD 20 equipment, McKesson PACS, and Epic EMR
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, with a variable day off each week
- No call, no weekend, and no holiday requirements
- Rare possibility of floating to IR departments at sister facilities in Meridian and Boise
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of IR experience required
- Active BLS and ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT IR or RCIS IR certification also accepted
- License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Travel experience preferred
Additional Information
- 1 Interventional Radiologist and 1–2 PAs on site during working hours
- Charge nurse present on each shift
- Orientation consists of 3 days to 1 week of unit-specific training
- Scrubs are provided
- No blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accepted
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Former permanent employees of the facility must have been separated for at least one year before being considered for a travel assignment
