Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and CT/X-ray certifications for a night shift position in an acute care hospital supporting a Level II trauma center.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in the MRI/X-ray Tech department
- Supports a Level II trauma center with CT, X-ray (including OR), and MRI coverage
- MRI scope is limited primarily to head and spine studies supporting Neurosurgery
- Uses Epic EMR
- 12-hour night shifts on a 7-days-on/7-days-off rotating schedule
- Schedule runs Thursday through Wednesday: Thu–Sat shifts begin at 18:30, Sun–Wed shifts begin at 19:30, all ending at 06:00
- No on-call expectations
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
- CT and X-ray (ARRT) certifications required; MRI certification is preferred but not required
- Active BLS (AHA) certification required
- Epic EMR experience
- Ability to perform CT, X-ray (including OR), and MRI procedures
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Performs CT, X-ray (including OR), and MRI imaging; MRI is primarily limited to head and spine studies for Neurosurgery support
- Candidates who are currently or have recently been employed full time, part time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity) are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through an outside staffing firm will be considered
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to comply will result to contract termination
- 12-hour orientation provided
