Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT (N) or CNMT certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in a Nuclear Medicine department
- Department is equipped with a GE Discovery 630 Dual Head (2015) gamma camera and a GE PET 8 (2005) scanner
- The NM department has 1 imaging room plus a PET suite
- Charting in Epic EMR and McKesson PACS
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
- NM techs with additional licenses (e.g., CT, MRI) may be asked to float to other modalities
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- Active BLS certification required
- Active ARRT (N) or CNMT certification required
- State license required if applicable — active license at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Candidate must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (driver's license used to verify permanent address)
- Candidates may not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Additional certifications such as ARRT RT(R), (CT), or (MR) are a plus but not required
Additional Information
- Performs a variety of nuclear medicine imaging studies; specific case mix is varied
- Radiation badge provided by the facility
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply may result to contract termination
- Department-specific orientation is 1–3 shifts
- Successful travelers in this department are flexible, positive, and willing to collaborate across modalities
- Candidates who were previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms at a CommonSpirit facility will be considered
