Description
American Traveler is hiring a Rad Tech for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Level II trauma acute care hospital, with C-arm and OR experience required.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with a radiology department of 14 rooms/scanners, including hospital and attached clinic locations
- Level II trauma center serving as a regional referral center
- Imaging includes general X-ray, portables, OR cases, and trauma studies
- C-arm procedures and OR coverage are a regular part of the role
- Uses Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic) and Siemens PACS; FUJI equipment used for rooms and portables
- Night shift schedule: 7 on / 7 off with start times of either 8:30 PM–6:30 AM or 9:00 PM–7:00 AM (10-hour shifts)
- Overnight shifts are staffed with 2 techs — you will not be working alone
- Floating between inpatient and the attached clinic is required
- Weekend and holiday coverage falls within the 7-on rotation
- No on-call or standby requirement
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Rad Tech in a hospital setting (clinic-only experience does not meet this requirement)
- C-arm experience and ability to function in the OR are required
- Current ARRT and BLS (AHA) certifications required
- WI state license required; license must be active by the start date (license required if applicable)
- Proficiency with C-arm, portables, and general radiographic equipment
- 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from the same specialty within the last 3 years
Additional Information
- Perform general radiographic studies, trauma imaging, portable exams, and OR-assisted procedures in both inpatient and clinic settings
- No radiologist is on-site overnight; a remote night reading service is available for consultation
- No IV starts required
- OR scrubs are provided for night shift due to potential OR call-ins
- Department orientation consists of 1–2 shifts
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Duo assignments are accepted
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their submission date
- Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local, which affects the travel pay rate
