Contract | Days | 3x12 shifts | 36 hours weekly guaranteed | 13-week assignment | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in the treatment of patients with conditions affecting the cardiopulmonary system
- Act as an advanced resource person for all other staff on the respiratory unit
- Function within the scope of respiratory care established by the Missouri Board of Respiratory Care guidelines
- Perform duties consistent with established mission, values, and service standards
- Be available for on-call hours as needed during off-duty hours
- Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and patient care management
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a COARC/AARC/NBRC approved Respiratory Therapy program
- Must hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license from the Missouri Board of Respiratory Care
- Must be registered through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP or PEARS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of 2+ years of respiratory therapy experience
- Flu vaccination required for assignments running November 1 through April 1 (exemptions subject to client approval)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with patients with cardiopulmonary conditions in an acute care or hospital setting
- Well-rounded clinical background with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior experience with EPIC EMR
